King George II
King George II was the King of Great Britain and Ireland from 1727 to 1760, making him the last British monarch born outside Great Britain. He was born in Germany and was part of the House of Hanover. His reign saw important events, such as the War of the Austrian Succession and the Seven Years' War, which expanded British territories. George II's rule was marked by a growing constitutional monarchy, with increased power shifting towards Parliament. He was known for his strong personality and involvement in military affairs, particularly battling for British interests abroad. George II died in 1760, succeeded by his grandson.
