Frederick, Prince of Wales

Frederick, Prince of Wales (1707–1751), was the eldest son of King George II of Great Britain and Caroline of Ansbach. Although he never became king himself, he held the title of Prince of Wales, a position that traditionally signifies the heir apparent. Frederick was known for his strained relationship with his father and his interest in the arts and intellectual pursuits. He established the first British court at Kensington Palace, promoting cultural growth. His untimely death led to his son, George III, ascending the throne, marking a significant era in British history.
