Jin Dynasty (Eastern Jin)

The Jin Dynasty, specifically the Eastern Jin (317–420 AD), was a Chinese dynasty that emerged after the fall of the Western Jin due to internal strife and invasions by nomadic tribes. It was established in the southeastern part of China, with its capital in Nanjing. The Eastern Jin is noted for its cultural achievements, including advances in poetry, painting, and philosophical thought. During this period, the aristocracy played a significant role in governance, and the dynasty faced challenges like political instability and external threats. It ultimately ended when it was replaced by the Liu Song dynasty, part of the Southern Dynasties era.
