Sima Rui

Sima Rui was a Chinese military general and politician during the late Eastern Jin Dynasty. He is best known as the founder of the Eastern Wu kingdom during the Three Kingdoms period, ruling from 222 to 239 AD. After the collapse of his family's power, Sima Rui established himself as a regional leader in southern China, maintaining stability and resisting northern invasions for several years. His leadership helped lay the groundwork for the eventual consolidation of Eastern Wu, playing a crucial role in the complex political and military landscape of China's fractured period following the fall of the Han Dynasty.
