Liu Song
Liu Song was a Chinese dynasty that existed from 420 to 479 AD during the period known as the Southern Dynasties. Founded by Liu Yu, it followed the decline of the Eastern Jin dynasty. The Liu Song era is characterized by political instability, cultural development, and the rise of Buddhism in southern China. Despite internal strife and conflicts with northern tribes, the period saw advancements in literature, painting, and architecture. Eventually, the dynasty fell to internal power struggles and was succeeded by the Southern Qi dynasty. It played a significant role in China's transformative era between ancient and medieval history.
