Founded by Cao Cao, a powerful warlord, Wei became known for its military strength and administrative reforms. It played a key role in the power struggles of the era, competing against the other kingdoms of Shu Han and Eastern Wu. Wei's influence on Chinese culture, including literature and governance, is significant, and it laid the groundwork for future dynasties. The era is famously depicted in the historical novel "Romance of the Three Kingdoms."
