Jayarāśi Saṅkṛti (philosopher)
Jayarāśi Saṅkṛti was an influential Indian philosopher from the 8th century, primarily known for his skepticism and critiques of established philosophical beliefs, particularly within Buddhism and Hinduism. He is best known for his work "Tattvārthasaṅgraha," which challenges the existence of enduring substances or self. Instead, he promoted a view often referred to as "nihilism," arguing that notions of permanence and personal identity are illusions. His ideas contributed significantly to the development of Indian philosophy by encouraging critical examination of accepted truths and promoting a more questioning approach to existence and knowledge.
