Jacques de Molay

Jacques de Molay was a French knight and the last Grand Master of the Knights Templar, a medieval Christian military order. Born around 1244, he led the order during tumultuous times marked by conflict between Christian and Muslim forces and faced internal strife. In 1307, King Philip IV of France arrested many Templars, including de Molay, accusing them of heresy. After a controversial trial, he was executed in 1314. His death symbolized the end of the Templar order and has sparked enduring legend and speculation about its secrets and treasures.
