Templar of England

The Templars of England were part of the Knights Templar, a medieval Christian military order founded in the early 12th century. Initially established to protect pilgrims traveling to the Holy Land, the order became known for its distinctive white mantles adorned with a red cross. In England, they built castles and churches, amassed wealth, and developed a complex financial system that included banking. Their influence grew until the early 14th century when they were disbanded by King Philip IV of France, leading to widespread persecution and the dissolution of the order across Europe.
