Italian National Liberation Committee
The Italian National Liberation Committee (CLN) was formed in 1943 during World War II as a coalition of various anti-fascist groups in Italy. Its main goal was to unite different political factions, including communists, socialists, and democrats, to resist and overthrow Mussolini's fascist regime. The CLN played a crucial role in the Italian resistance, coordinating efforts to liberate the country from German occupation and fascist rule. After the war, it helped lay the groundwork for Italy's democratic government and the new republic established in 1946.
