Glagolitic lectionary
The Glagolitic lectionary is a liturgical book used in the Slavic Christian tradition, specifically among communities that adopt the Glagolitic script. This script, the oldest known Slavic alphabet, was created in the 9th century by Saints Cyril and Methodius to translate religious texts into Old Church Slavonic. A lectionary contains selected scriptural readings organized for use during church services throughout the liturgical year. The Glagolitic lectionary preserves these readings in the unique Glagolitic script, reflecting both religious practice and cultural heritage of the Slavic peoples.
