Glagolitic liturgy

Glagolitic liturgy refers to the religious services and texts used by the Slavic Orthodox Church that are written in the Glagolitic script, one of the earliest alphabets used to transcribe Old Church Slavonic. Developed in the 9th century by Saints Cyril and Methodius, the script was crucial for translating Christian texts into Slavic languages. While it has largely been replaced by the Cyrillic alphabet, Glagolitic liturgy remains significant for cultural and historical reasons, highlighting the early Christian heritage and the development of Slavic identity. Today, it is mostly of interest for liturgical, historical, and linguistic studies.
