
General Tadeusz Bór-Komorowski
General Tadeusz Bór-Komorowski was a prominent Polish military leader during World War II, best known for his role in the Warsaw Uprising of 1944 against Nazi German occupation. He commanded the Home Army, which was formed to resist the Nazis and restore Polish sovereignty. Bór-Komorowski's leadership was marked by strategic challenges and intense fighting, but ultimately, the uprising was suppressed, leading to significant loss of life and destruction. After the war, he spent years in exile, advocating for Polish independence and serving as a symbol of resistance against oppression. He died in 1966 in London.
