ZWZ (Zoorganizowane Wojsko Zbrojne)
ZWZ, or Zoorganizowane Wojsko Zbrojne, was a Polish military organization formed during World War II, between 1939 and 1940, in response to the invasion of Poland by Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union. It aimed to unify and support the Polish resistance against occupying forces. ZWZ later evolved into the Home Army (Armia Krajowa), which became a significant part of Poland’s underground military efforts. The organization focused on gathering intelligence, conducting sabotage operations, and maintaining Polish national identity during a period of intense occupation and struggle for independence.
