Endothelial Dysfunction
Endothelial dysfunction occurs when the inner lining of blood vessels, called the endothelium, doesn’t work properly. This lining helps regulate blood flow, prevent clots, and control inflammation. When it’s compromised, blood vessels become less flexible, more prone to narrowing, and more likely to develop blockages. This condition is linked to many cardiovascular problems, including high blood pressure, atherosclerosis, and heart disease. Factors like high cholesterol, smoking, stress, and poor diet can impair endothelial function. Addressing these factors can help restore healthy vessel function and reduce the risk of cardiovascular complications.
