Ejército Trigarante

The Ejército Trigarante, or "Three Guarantees Army," was a military force formed during the Mexican War of Independence in the early 1820s. It united different factions with three main goals: to guarantee the nation's independence from Spain, maintain equality between Europeans and Creoles (people of European descent born in Mexico), and uphold the Catholic Church's influence. Led by generals Agustín de Iturbide and Vicente Guerrero, the army played a key role in the final stages of the revolution, leading to Mexico's independence in 1821 and establishing a new nation amid diverse social and political challenges.
