Eight Trigrams

The Eight Trigrams, or Bagua, are symbols used in Chinese philosophy, particularly in Daoism and Feng Shui. Each trigram consists of three lines that can be either broken ( Yin) or unbroken ( Yang). These combinations symbolize fundamental natural elements and concepts, such as Heaven, Earth, Water, and Wind. Together, they reflect the dualities of life and the relationships between these forces. The trigrams are instrumental in the I Ching (Book of Changes), a classic text that offers guidance through divination and philosophical interpretation, influencing various aspects of Chinese culture, including martial arts and medicine.
