Egyptian Warfare

Ancient Egyptian warfare primarily involved organized armies using chariots, infantry, and archers. Chariots, manned by a driver and an archer, were a key advantage in battles, enabling swift movement and rapid attacks. Foot soldiers, equipped with spears, shields, and, later, bronze weapons, complemented these mobile units. Warfare often aimed to expand territory or secure resources, with conflicts against neighboring regions such as Nubia and the Levant. Egyptian pharaohs emphasized military success to demonstrate power and maintain stability, often recording victories in art and hieroglyphs, influencing both their culture and politics significantly.
