DNA evidence

DNA evidence refers to biological material, like blood, hair, or skin cells, that contain genetic information unique to an individual. This information is found in the DNA—a molecule that carries instructions for living organisms. In forensic science, DNA evidence is used to identify suspects or victims by matching DNA samples from a crime scene to those of individuals. Because everyone's DNA is nearly unique (except for identical twins), it provides a powerful tool for solving crimes, establishing paternity, and identifying remains, thereby helping to ensure justice and clarity in legal and investigative processes.
