Confucius (Kong Fuzi)
Confucius, or Kong Fuzi, was a Chinese philosopher who lived around 551–479 BCE. He emphasized ethics, morality, and social harmony through proper conduct in relationships, known as the "Five Relationships," which include ruler-subject, parent-child, husband-wife, elder sibling-younger sibling, and friend-friend. His teachings promote values such as respect, compassion, and justice, encouraging individuals to act righteously for the betterment of society. Confucius' ideas laid the foundation for Confucianism, influencing Chinese culture, government, and education for centuries and promoting a vision of a well-ordered society rooted in moral integrity and mutual respect.
