Collective farms
Collective farms are agricultural enterprises where multiple farmers work together collectively, sharing resources, labor, and output. This system emerged prominently in the Soviet Union during the late 1920s and 1930s, aiming to boost agricultural productivity and eliminate private ownership of land. Instead of individual farms, land was pooled, and farmers worked as a team. While collective farms aimed to ensure food security and support social equity, they often faced challenges such as inefficiency and lack of motivation among workers, leading to mixed results in agricultural productivity.
