Canalith Repositioning Maneuver

The Canalith Repositioning Maneuver, often referred to as the Epley maneuver, is a treatment for BPPV (Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo). This condition causes brief episodes of dizziness when a person changes head position due to tiny calcium crystals in the inner ear becoming dislodged. The maneuver involves a series of specific head and body movements that help guide these crystals back to their proper location within the inner ear, reducing dizziness and restoring balance. The process is usually performed by healthcare professionals but can sometimes be done at home with proper guidance.
