César Chávez

César Chávez was a prominent American labor leader and civil rights activist who dedicated his life to improving conditions for farm workers, many of whom faced low wages, poor working conditions, and lack of basic rights. Co-founder of the National Farm Workers Association (later the United Farm Workers union), he used nonviolent tactics like strikes, marches, and protests to advocate for fair wages, better treatment, and dignity for agricultural laborers.
