Bruce Tuckman

Bruce Tuckman was an American psychologist best known for developing a model describing the stages of team development. In 1965, he introduced four stages: Forming (team formation), Storming (conflicts arise), Norming (team cohesion develops), and Performing (effective collaboration). Later, he added a fifth stage, Adjourning, which addresses the end of a team's journey. This model helps understand how teams evolve, manage challenges, and achieve goals, making it valuable for leaders and organizations in optimizing team dynamics and performance. Tuckman’s insights are widely used in management and organizational behavior.
