Bajirao I

Bajirao I was a prominent Maratha general and Peshwa (prime minister) from the early 18th century, known for expanding the Maratha Empire across much of India. Born in 1700, he was a brilliant military strategist and led successful campaigns against the Mughals and other regional powers. His leadership strengthened the Maratha influence, creating a powerful state that challenged Mughal dominance. Bajirao I is also remembered for his progressive governance and support for regional autonomy. He passed away in 1740 at a young age, but his legacy endures in Indian history as a symbol of valor and ambition.
