Aceh is a province located on the northern tip of Sumatra, Indonesia. It is known for its rich cultural heritage, diverse ethnic groups, and stunning natural landscapes, including beaches and mountains. The region has a significant Islamic influence and was historically a center for trade and Islamic learning. Aceh is also recognized for its struggle for independence from Indonesia, leading to a prolonged conflict that ended with a peace agreement in 2005. The province was severely impacted by the 2004 tsunami, which caused widespread devastation and loss of life, but has since been rebuilding and recovering.
