Yaqut al-Musta'simi

Yaqut al-Musta'simi was a notable Arab historian, geographer, and writer of the 13th century, best known for his extensive works on the geography and history of the Islamic world. Born in what is now Turkey, he served as a scholar in Baghdad during the time of the last Abbasid caliph, al-Musta'sim.
