Wei Kingdom

The Wei Kingdom was one of the three major states during China's Three Kingdoms period (220-280 AD), following the fall of the Han Dynasty. It was established by Cao Cao, a powerful warlord, and later succeeded by his son Cao Pi, who declared himself emperor. The Wei Kingdom controlled the northern regions of China and was known for its military strategies and administrative reforms. It competed primarily against the Shu and Wu kingdoms, leading to significant battles and political intrigue. The period is often romanticized in literature, especially in the classic novel "Romance of the Three Kingdoms."
