Shu Kingdom

The Shu Kingdom was one of the three main states during the Three Kingdoms period in ancient China, which lasted from 220 to 280 AD. It was founded by Liu Bei, a warlord who claimed descent from the Han dynasty. The Shu Kingdom was known for its strategic use of the mountainous terrain of Sichuan, strong military leaders like Zhuge Liang, and its cultural contributions. Despite its initial successes, Shu struggled against its rival kingdoms, Wei and Wu, ultimately falling to Wei in 263 AD. The period is famous for its dramatic stories and characters, influencing Chinese culture and media.
