Warren Commission
The Warren Commission was a special group formed by President Lyndon B. Johnson in 1963 to investigate the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, who was killed in Dallas, Texas, on November 22, 1963. Led by Chief Justice Earl Warren, the commission examined evidence, interviewed witnesses, and ultimately concluded that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone in the assassination. The commission's report, released in 1964, aimed to provide a comprehensive explanation of the events surrounding Kennedy's death and to restore public confidence in the government, though it has since been the subject of various conspiracy theories and debates.
