The Warren Commission
The Warren Commission was a special group established by President Lyndon B. Johnson in 1963 to investigate the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, who was shot on November 22, 1963, in Dallas, Texas. Led by Chief Justice Earl Warren, the commission aimed to determine the facts surrounding the event and understand who was responsible. In 1964, they concluded that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone in the assassination. The commission’s findings sparked debate and conspiracy theories, but it remains a pivotal moment in American history, shaping public perception of the assassination and the ensuing investigations.
