United States Secret Service
The United States Secret Service is a federal agency tasked with two main missions: protecting the President, Vice President, and visiting foreign dignitaries; and investigating financial crimes, including counterfeiting and credit card fraud. Established in 1865, it originally focused on combating counterfeit currency, but its role expanded in 1901 to include protective services. Agents are trained in both law enforcement and protective techniques, allowing them to ensure the safety of high-profile individuals while also tackling financial crime. The agency operates under the Department of Homeland Security.
