Volksgemeinschaft

Volksgemeinschaft, meaning "people's community," was a central concept in Nazi ideology. It promoted the idea of a racially unified and socially harmonious national community, primarily among ethnic Germans. The term emphasized collective identity over individualism, advocating for loyalty to the nation and its interests. The Nazis sought to exclude those deemed "undesirable," such as Jews and political opponents, promoting a homogeneous society. This concept was used to justify policies of exclusion, discrimination, and ultimately, violence, as the regime aimed to create what they considered a pure and strong national character.
