Third Reich
The Third Reich was Nazi Germany's official name for its dictatorship under Adolf Hitler, lasting from 1933 to 1945. It represented the third major German empire, following the Holy Roman Empire and the German Empire. The regime promoted extreme nationalism, militarism, and racial superiority, leading to aggressive expansion, World War II, and the Holocaust, during which six million Jews and millions of others were systematically murdered. The Third Reich ended with Germany's defeat in 1945, leaving profound global and historical consequences.
