Unbiased Estimation

Unbiased estimation refers to a statistical method where the average of all estimates accurately reflects the true value of a parameter being measured. In practical terms, if you repeatedly sample a population and calculate an estimate (like the average height of a group), an unbiased estimator means that if you took enough samples, the average of those estimates would be very close to the actual average height of the entire group. This ensures that the estimation process doesn't consistently overestimate or underestimate the true value, leading to more reliable conclusions based on data.
