Sample Mean

The sample mean is a way to find the average value of a set of data points. You add up all the numbers in the group and then divide that total by how many numbers there are. For example, if you have test scores of 80, 85, and 90, you add them to get 255, then divide by 3 to get an average score of 85. The sample mean provides a single value that represents the typical or central point of the data set, helping to summarize the overall trend or common level within the group.
