Toulmin model

The Toulmin Model is a framework for analyzing arguments. It breaks down an argument into six parts: the claim (the main point), evidence (supporting facts), warrant (the reasoning connecting evidence to the claim), backing (additional support for the warrant), qualifier (indications of certainty, like "usually" or "always"), and rebuttal (counterarguments). This model helps clarify the structure of an argument, allowing for a better understanding of its strengths and weaknesses, thereby improving critical thinking and effective communication. It’s particularly useful in debates, essays, and discussions.
