Toulmin model of argumentation
The Toulmin model of argumentation is a framework for analyzing and constructing arguments. It consists of six key components: 1. **Claim** - the main point or thesis. 2. **Grounds** - the evidence or reasons supporting the claim. 3. **Warrant** - the logical connection between the grounds and the claim. 4. **Backing** - additional support for the warrant. 5. **Qualifier** - the degree of certainty (e.g., "usually" or "always"). 6. **Rebuttal** - counterarguments or exceptions to the claim. Using this structure helps clarify arguments and ensures they are well-supported and reasoned.
