Tides
Tides are the regular rise and fall of sea levels caused mainly by the gravitational pull of the moon, and to a lesser extent, the sun. As these celestial bodies exert their gravity, they create bulges in the Earth's oceans—one on the side closest to the moon and another on the opposite side. As the Earth rotates, different areas experience these bulges, resulting in high tides. When the water levels recede, low tides occur. This cyclical movement influences coastal environments and navigation, following predictable patterns tied to the moon's orbit and Earth's rotation.
