Tiamat

Tiamat is a figure from ancient Mesopotamian mythology, often depicted as a primordial goddess associated with the ocean and chaos. In the Babylonian creation myth known as the Enuma Elish, Tiamat embodies the salt waters and is involved in the creation of the world. She represents the chaos that precedes order. Eventually, she battles the god Marduk, who defeats her and uses her body to create the heavens and the earth, symbolizing the triumph of order over chaos. Tiamat is often interpreted as a symbol of both creation and destruction in the cosmos.
