The White Rose

The White Rose was a non-violent resistance group in Nazi Germany, primarily composed of university students, including Hans and Sophie Scholl. Founded in Munich in 1942, they used pamphlets to promote anti-Nazi sentiment, advocate for civil disobedience, and raise awareness about the atrocities of the regime. Their activism highlighted moral courage and personal responsibility in the face of oppression. Eventually, the Gestapo captured the group’s members, resulting in their execution. The White Rose is remembered as a symbol of resistance against totalitarianism and the courage to stand up for one’s beliefs in difficult times.
