The White Rose (group)

The White Rose was a non-violent resistance group in Nazi Germany, formed by students at the University of Munich, including siblings Hans and Sophie Scholl, during World War II. Active between 1942 and 1943, they distributed pamphlets that criticized the Nazi regime, urged passive resistance, and called for public awareness against tyranny. Despite their noble efforts, the group was eventually discovered by the Gestapo, leading to the arrest and execution of its key members. Their courageous stand against oppression has since been recognized as a symbol of moral courage and resistance to totalitarianism.
