Sophie Scholl
Sophie Scholl was a young German student and anti-Nazi political activist during World War II. Born in 1921, she was a member of the White Rose, a non-violent resistance group that opposed Adolf Hitler's regime and its atrocities. Alongside her brother Hans, Sophie distributed leaflets that encouraged people to resist the Nazi government. She was arrested in 1943, tried, and executed for treason at the age of 21. Scholl is remembered as a symbol of courage and moral conviction, embodying the fight against tyranny and the importance of standing up for one's beliefs.
