The Leadership Practices Inventory (LPI)
The Leadership Practices Inventory (LPI) is a tool used to assess and develop leadership skills. Created by James Kouzes and Barry Posner, it identifies five key practices that effective leaders consistently demonstrate: modeling the way, inspiring a shared vision, challenging the process, enabling others to act, and encouraging the heart. Leaders and their peers respond to a questionnaire, resulting in feedback that highlights strengths and areas for improvement. The LPI is widely used in organizations to enhance leadership effectiveness, foster teamwork, and drive positive organizational change.
