Tendon Healing
Tendon healing is the process by which a torn or injured tendon, the tissue that connects muscles to bones, repairs itself. Initially, the body responds with inflammation, bringing in cells to clean up damaged tissue. This is followed by a healing phase where new collagen fibers form to restore strength. Full recovery can take several weeks to months, depending on the injury's severity and the individual’s health and age. During this time, rehabilitation exercises may be necessary to regain flexibility and strength while minimizing the risk of re-injury. Proper care and patience are crucial for successful healing.
