Telescopes (various radio telescopes)

Telescopes are instruments that collect and analyze light or other forms of radiation from distant objects in space. Radio telescopes, in particular, detect radio waves emitted by celestial bodies. They consist of large parabolic dishes that focus these waves onto a receiver, converting them into signals for further analysis. This allows astronomers to study phenomena like pulsars, galaxies, and cosmic microwave background radiation. Notable radio telescopes include the Arecibo Observatory and the Very Large Array, which have contributed significantly to our understanding of the universe by revealing information invisible to optical telescopes.
