Very Large Array

The Very Large Array (VLA) is a powerful radio telescope located in New Mexico, used by astronomers to study the universe. It consists of 27 large dish-shaped antennas arranged in a Y-shaped pattern. By combining signals from all antennas, the VLA acts like a giant, high-resolution eye, capable of capturing detailed images of celestial objects such as galaxies, black holes, and supernovae. Its flexible design allows it to observe a wide range of radio frequencies, helping scientists understand cosmic phenomena that are invisible to regular telescopes viewing visible light.
