Ted Kaczynski, also known as the Unabomber, is an American domestic terrorist who conducted a nationwide bombing campaign between 1978 and 1995, targeting people associated with modern technology and industrial society. A former mathematics professor, Kaczynski believed that technological advancement harmed humanity and advocated for a return to simpler living. He wrote a manifesto, "Industrial Society and Its Future," outlining his views. Kaczynski was arrested in 1996 after his brother recognized his writing style and alerted authorities. He is serving a life sentence without parole after pleading guilty to multiple counts of murder and other crimes.
