Eco-terrorism
Eco-terrorism refers to illegal or violent actions taken by individuals or groups aiming to protect the environment, often by targeting property, infrastructure, or activities they see as harmful to nature. These acts are driven by strong environmental beliefs and a desire to halt activities like deforestation, pollution, or fossil fuel extraction. While their goal is environmental preservation, eco-terrorists employ methods such as sabotage, arson, or vandalism, which can endanger people and cause property damage. Such actions are widely condemned for undermining lawful environmental advocacy and may provoke harm rather than promote constructive change.
