St. Clement of Ohrid

St. Clement of Ohrid (circa 840-916 AD) was a prominent Christian scholar and educator in the medieval Balkans. A disciple of Saints Cyril and Methodius, he played a crucial role in developing the Glagolitic and Cyrillic alphabets, which aided in the spread of Slavic literacy and Christianity. He founded schools that taught the Slavic language, making religious texts accessible to the local population.
